Hello, my name is Nova (or Rose) Scott. I am a queer artist based in the Chicago suburbs. Growing up, I was homeschooled and developed a love for complex characters and worlds through the media I consumed. This has become a passion of mine since I believe fictional stories can greatly help people, because oftentimes we can feel and relate to what characters are going through.
Animation has always been a personal favorite medium of mine for storytelling, and I found that the way I love to help this process is through the use of color and lighting to set the mood and feelings of a scene.
I've always been self-motivated when it came to learning about art, animation and storytelling. I opted out of going to college in favor of specialized online classes like Marc Brunet's digital art course, Misha Oplev's visdev course and Animation Club School's animation production pipeline course.
In my free time I enjoy reading, going out in nature, cosplaying at conventions, playing videogames, and goofing around with friends.
A quote from my instructor after our short film was done:"A very hard-working, passionate and pleasant person that diligently applied the feedback given to them" - Andrei Sitari
