Personal Project
This was an original project of mine where I created 4 storybeat keyframes in a 2D animated style. I wanted to explore the overall themes, mood, and style for how my story might look as a finished project.
The simple story idea behind this, is about a vampire hunter who gets turned into a vampire and struggles with her new identity, while also having to keep it hidden from her fellow hunters. This story has many themes of accepting oneself, and the people that society teaches us to hate.
(Since making these keyframes, I have been further developing the world/characters and have begun writing some of the story. Once I am done with all of this, I hope to someday turn it into a graphic novel!)
Other Works
This is a keyframe that I did before I decided to go in a different direction for my story. I still really love this piece and so I wanted to include it here.
These keyframes are my own ideas for a few of the scenes from Epic The Musical.
The first one is based on the song "There Are Other Ways", where Circe tries to seduce Odysseus after losing against him in battle. I wanted the scene to feel calm but with a slight sense of danger.
The second is from "Scylla", where Odysseus chooses to sacrifice a few of his men to allow them safe passage through Scylla's lair. Here I chose to have him facing away from the action, because I think he would struggle to face the consequences of his choice.
The last one is from "Dangerous", where Hermes comes down to help Odysseus after he starts sailing away from Calypso's island. Odysseus is on the last stretch of his journey home, after losing all of his men and being stuck on an island for a few years. It's a more upbeat song with a slight melancholy feel to it, which is why I chose an overcast day for this one.
